so, yesterday i didnt have to work.
matt, an old friend called me to hang out.
we had an awesome day.
walking in soho, grabbing a bite to eat, and then going to STRANDS - the coolest book store i have ever been too.
there were shelves upon shelves upons shelves of books! i didnt even go inside until i searched all the racks outside. all the books outside were a dollar.
so there i stood, immersed in old books, surronded by other people searching the same book racks, a cool breeze, an old friend and i had to just smile. i was so happy just being there in that moment.. i had to smile.i ended up getting just one book. and i was excited to get the bright yellow “Strand” bookstore bag and put my 48 cent book in the bag. i often see people with this bag, and now next time.. i will share a little smile when i see someone with that bag. because i know how fun it was for me to go search among all those old books.

dear ny,
i am really really eager for warm weather.
i am also so amazingly thankful for my life. so thanks.
much love,
jen.
me.
he is cute. and perfect.
i was home alone.
mike was at soccer.
and i made some tea in the microwave
and blew a fuse
the apt became silent
the lights/tv/computer stopped
and it was me and the cats
and candle light.
i had no way to restart the fuse, we needed to go out looking for a new one. luckily mike came home from soccer early, so i wasnt home alone that long.
but i will say it was nice.
it was peaceful
and reflective
and nice.
i called jenny g, hung out with the cats, and was thankful for all i have.
so thank you.
